Gasmask Progress

Posted this sketch in the last blog, but I've worked on it a little more.
This....was an experiment gone weird. I tried coloring it without lineart which isn't something I've done before, but didn't finish it all the way because I didn't like my color choices. It looks too much like a cybergoth alien instead of an apocalyptic demon which is what I'm going for. But anyways, since I'd already fucked the colors I figured it be good drawing to trying inking with a brush an india ink. Its a lot harder than I had anticipated and it probably would have helped if I had a cup of water with me to keep the bristles together. So we'll try this again on a different day. Still looks kinda neat.
Spent some extra time making my lines look really interesting and I think I'm going to try using tans, french greys, and purples for this.
